In the Kettering City Schools, our thoughts and prayers continue to go out to the families and the community that suffered the horrific school tragedy last Friday in Newtown, Connecticut.
Our mode in the Kettering Schools today and through this week as we head into Winter Break is to be extra vigilant and reassuring...while maintaining as much as possible a routine "business as usual" attitude.
As always, the adults in our school buildings are fully accessible to any child who has any fears, anxieties or questions or who just wants to talk. We believe our training, practices and procedures keep our kids in the Kettering Schools as safe as they possibly can be. However, in light of recent events, we will be reevaluating our safety measures in our schools.
